Long Time No See LOVEBUGS!!! It’s been a while since I last checked in with you guys. I took time away from my blog to work on new projects, gain a few new clients and open myself up to new opportunities and experiences. During this time I’ve learned so much about myself and the fashion industry (I can’t wait to share my knowledge with you guys). I’m also learning more and more how important it is to support each other and spark change and growth in each person you encounter. Whether is mentally, emotionally or spiritually we all deserve to find inner peace and become better than we were in our past. You can’t conquer the world or pursue a business unless you begin to conquer yourself first. I don’t have all the answer, I’m still a work in progress but I pray moving forward my blogs will spark change and motivate you to push full speed ahead and chase your dreams. We’ll chat soon love bugs!!
Xoxo

p.s PLEASE EXCUSE THE MESS!!! My website is under construction and you will be seeing a lot of updates and changes moving forward.

DONNA KARAN x URBAN ZEN CAPSULE COLLECTION

In 2007 Donna Karan launched The Urban Zen foundation, a non-profit organization inspired by her global travels. The Foundation includes The Urban Zen store and urban Zen fashion line, proceeds of which go towards the foundations sole purpose; raising awareness and inspire change in the areas of well-being, preserving cultures and empowering children. .This year Karan created a special capsule collection called “The Journey” for July and August instead of just filling her store with pre-Fall items. In a press statement Karan says:

“When a woman walks into a store, she wants to be inspired… She shops for things she can wear here, today; yet also knows she can wear it into the next season. She knows she can’t live at the beach. But she can take that spirit with her when she heads back to the city and into fall.”

The collection consists of 40 pieces, versatile T shirts, one-of-a-kind Indian sari dresses and tops (fabrics were hand-picked by Karan herself in India), a new 3 way signature wrap dress with linen borders that can transform into different looks, scarves, sculpted tunics and a soft leather jacket, to name a few. The use of neutral colors such as tan, bronze, sand, eggshell, indigo and black are hand-dyed by artisan dyers to achieve a sun-kissed look. The collection will be available in Urban Zen’s Sag Harbor location; select pieces will be available in New York City. Check out of few pieces below.
